A New Chapter in Atlanta's Art Story
For eighteen years, Kai Lin Art has been quietly and persistently making art magic in the South — championing bold voices, building community around contemporary work, and proving that Atlanta belongs at the center of the national conversation on art. Today, we open our next chapter.
We are excited to announce the launch of Kai Lin Art Annex, a 10,000+ square foot space adjacent to our West Midtown gallery. The Annex is more than an expansion of square footage — it is an expansion of purpose. This is a space built to hold and host large-scale exhibitions, weddings, celebrations of life, corporate functions, private rentals, MFA and BFA thesis exhibitions for the students and graduate students shaping the next generation of contemporary art in the South.
Where the gallery has always been a place to look closely, the Annex is an expansive place to gather. It is built for the moments that call for more room, more light, and more people — without ever losing the curatorial eye that has defined our gallery since the inception.
Launching the Annex: SYNERGY
We are inaugurating this new space with SYNERGY, a collaborative exhibition curated by Emi Noelle Douglas, built around a simple, generative premise: pair artists together and see what emerges when two distinct visions meet on the same canvas, in the same room, in conversation with one another.
Featured collaborative pairings:
Ivy Wu & Jeffrey Wilcox Paclipan
Jason Swift & Jamele Wright Sr.
Lowkey & Jon John
Jamaal Barber & Dane Brown
Daisy Anne Dickson & Anne Harper
Lauren Lesley & Sadie Pennell
Trevvian Dowell & Abigail Tucker
Chloe Alexander & Jasmin Warnock
Stan Clark & Claude Gerard Jean
Mia Anika & Emmy Marshall
Demetri Burke & Christa Collins
Nancy Blum & Elliston Roshi
Luke Hamilton & Daisy Anne Dickson
With additional work from:
Daniel Phelps, Cy Herdee, Bryan Bach, Heather Deyling, Jess Self, John Roberts, Larry Jens Anderson, Greg Noblin, Kiara Gilbert, and Krista Grecco.
Together, these artists bring painting, sculpture, mixed media, and beyond into dialogue — a fitting inaugural show for a space founded on the idea that art is stronger in collaboration.
Join Us
This is a celebration eighteen years in the making — of the artists who trusted us, the collectors who believed in them, and the community that made Atlanta a destination for serious contemporary art. Now, we invite you into the next room.
