Buckhead Art & Company opens its doors to a bold new chapter of culture, community, and creativity.
The Power of Presence explores the idea that presence, embodied, intentional, and unapologetic, is a form of power in itself. In a world that constantly asks us to shrink, rush, explain, or perform, this exhibition invites us to pause and consider what it means to occupy space fully physically, emotionally, culturally, and spiritually.
The works in this exhibition do not ask for permission. They stand grounded in identity, memory, lineage, and lived experience. Presence here is not loud for the sake of attention; it is assured. It is the confidence of knowing who you are, where you come from, and why your voice belongs in the room.
Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and visual storytelling, The Power of Presence reflects the beauty and complexity of Black humanity, our tenderness, resilience, joy, and depth. Each piece is a reminder that representation is not only about visibility, but about being seen on our own terms.
At Buckhead Art & Company, presence is foundational to our mission. As a space owned, curated, and led with intention, the gallery itself is an act of presence—rooted in Atlanta, grounded in culture, and designed to hold artists and community at scale.
We invite you to slow down. To sit with the work. To feel what it means to be fully here—in your body, in this space, in this moment.
Because presence is not passive.
It is powerful. Welcome to The Power of Presence.
