These mini hand torn abstracts were born of one of my rose paintings that had been damaged. Repainting and then tearing these off from the original piece—careful to avoid the damaged area—was a reminder of both the work and beauty in healing. The embers of that original piece remain in these and their warm, golden glow is remarkable and beautifully set within warm wood square frames.
These torn paintings measure approximately 4” x 6” and are anchored by delicate pearlescent sewing pins into a cloth backing. Framed size 9” x 9”.
