"The Space Between", an original abstract painting that lives somewhere between beauty and ache. Inspired by the season of motherhood that I am in. I wanted to convey the strange tension between hope and uncertainty, between wanting to protect someone and knowing they have to find their own way. This painting became a place where those feelings could exist together without needing to be resolved.
A gradient of muted green to soft lavender fade into the background, as a dark black ink brush mark makes its way down the length of the work.
